Apna Haq in Rotherham provides confidential, one to one support for Asian women and their children who are experiencing violence in the home. They help Asian women access social services, the police and other agencies. They also provide advice and guidance to government authorities on their approach to assisting Asian women in distress.

Sisters For Change has worked with Apna Haq since 2015. In November 2017, Sisters For Change, Angelou Centre, Ashiana (Sheffield), Apna Haq (Rotherham), LBWP (London), and Panahghar (Coventry) launched a joint report, Unequal Regard, Unequal Protection: Public authority responses to violence against BME women in England, to evidence the chronic failure of public authorities to respond to violence against BME women and girls in England.
